Linear response theory of entanglement entropy

چکیده

Linear response theory (LRT) is a powerful tool for investigating classical and quantum systems when perturbed by some external forces, connecting experimental observables with the correlation functions of system in equilibrium states. On other hand, entanglement entropy (EE), or von Neumann entropy, an important measure non-classical correlations information science. As EE not normal physical observable, developing LRT valuable understanding changes under perturbation. In this work, we present framework entropy. We found that any composite state linear can be quantified special function. Consequently, derive corresponding Kubo formula susceptibility EE, which have same properties as its conventional counterpart. further zero maximally entangled separable states, unique feature dynamics. A numerical verification our analytical results also given based on XX spin chain model. Overall, provides useful EE.

Entanglement entropy in SU(N) gauge theory

The entanglement entropy of SU(N) lattice gauge theory is studied exactly in 1 + 1 space-time dimensions and in Migdal-Kadanoff approximation in higher dimensional space. The existence of a non-analytical behavior reminiscent of a phase transition for a characteristic size of the entangled region is demonstrated for higher dimensional theories.

Entanglement detection: Linear entropy versus Bell-CHSH inequality

The relation between the violation of the Bell-CHSH inequalities and entanglement properties of quantum states is not clear so one may consider the mixedness of the system to understand the entanglement properties better than the Bell-CHSH inequality. In this respect, we prove that if the mixedness of the state measured by the linear entropy is less than 2 3 but strictly greater than zero then ...

Entanglement Entropy and Quantum Field Theory: a Non-technical Introduction

There has been considerable interest in formulating measures of entanglement and applying them to extended quantum systems with many degrees of freedom, such as quantum spin chains, especially close to a quantum phase transition (see, e.g., several other reports in these proceedings). One of these measures is entanglement entropy. Suppose the whole system is in a pure quantum state |Ψ〉, with de...

Impurity entanglement entropy in Kondo systems from conformal field theory

The entanglement entropy in Kondo impurity systems is studied analytically using conformal field theory. From the impurity contribution to the scaling corrections of the entanglement entropy we extract information about the screening cloud profile for general non-Fermi-liquid fixed points. By also considering the finite-temperature corrections to scaling of the von Neumann entropy we point out ...

Black Hole Entropy and Entropy of Entanglement

We compare the one-loop corrections to the entropy of a black hole, from quantum fields of spin zero, one-half, and one, to the entropy of entanglement of the fields. For fields of spin zero and one-half the black hole entropy is identical to the entropy of entanglement. For spin one the two entropies differ by a contact interaction with the horizon which appears in the black hole entropy but n...
